Josh Kramer is a Yoga and Handstand Teacher from Auckland, New Zealand. Having grown up in Zimbabwe, Josh moved to New Zealand in 2005 where he developed his passion for yoga. Josh has been practicing yoga for over seven years and teaching for two.
His style melds a unique blend of Iyengar Yoga and Vinyasa flow, emphasizing alignment and integrity in the poses. He uses a range of props to ensure that students are able to safely deepen their practice and understanding of classical and nuanced yoga postures.
With a passion for all things handstand, Josh provides students with a unique opportunity to get off their feet and onto their hands where they will build the strength, technique and confidence to hold a beautifully straight handstand.
In addition to Yoga, Josh works as a Humanitarian professional, supporting the implementation of programs in developing countries with the vision of achieving a sustainable world free from poverty and injustice. He has worked with countries across Africa, Asia and the Pacific. Josh successfully melds his professional and private life; whenever opportunity arises he follows his passion and flies to far-off places off the beaten track, taking only his yoga mat and camera – hand-standing around the world.
He meets fellow travelers, practices and teaches yoga, and pursues a life “on the road”. For him there is always another dream, another beach, another adventure and another place to flip himself upside down.
