The Story of Yogasana Weavers’
The region of India where Yogasana mats are made has a long tradition of weaving. We trace the professional lineage of this art back to the 15th century mystic/poet – Master Kabir. He lived in the ancient city of Benares and earned his living as a weaver. Your support helps perpetuate and preserve this noble profession.
The weavers’ pictured here have woven Yogasana mats for many years. You will find their names on the signature card that’s attached to your mat. They are paid fair wages and the education of their children is aided by our foundation: Yogasana Circle.
We are grateful for the support received from yogis in over 50 countries who have bought a Yogasana yoga mat.
